Last night in the ABSCA Pre-Season Tournament we had two excited games with playoff implementations. In the first game Antigua Sails Female Flyers came up against Heritage Sports Targets who made 54 for 3 off their 10 overs. Notable contribution came from Nolia Elvin and Shawnalee Lawson 19 and 15 runs respectively. Bowling for Antigua Sails Female Flyers Makada Samuel, Kadesha Josiah and Sevly Ireland all had figures of 1 over 1 wicket 3 runs. In reply Antigua Sails Female Flyers made it an easy win in the end with 59 for 2 from 6.5 overs.  In the first 5 overs we had an evenly posed game with Flyers on 31 for 2 but Makada Samuel who finished with 18 not out ensured that the game wasn't going to come down to a close finish. Janice Burton of Targets bowled the 6th over that proved to be very costly. After bowling several wides, the final two deliveries were stroked for a four and a six. She finished with figures of 1 over for 21 runs. Notable bowling figures for Heritage Sports Targets came from Nelca Christophe and Patricia Johannes both had figures of 1 over for 1 run.

In the second encounter Finance & Development Dredgers came up against Bryson's Bullets with Dredgers winning the toss and elected to bat.  Both teams knew that they needed a win to secure the final semi-finals spot available in Group B. This was as a result of Sunday's games where Bethesda Prodigals in back to back games defeated both Dredgers and Bullets restricting them to 36 and 48 respectively from their allotted 10 overs thus securing a spot in the semi-finals. Dredgers came out with an aim after Sunday's embarrassment as Baldwin "Spliff" Anthony and Mervin "Tsunami" Higgins took the attack to the bowlers. In the first 3 overs Dredgers scored four more runs than what they made in a total of 10 overs on Sunday. They finished the innings on 82 for 4 from 10 overs with Baldwin "Spliff" Anthony retired on 35 runs. Bowling for Bryson's Bullets Dorian Grant 1 over 1 wicket 3 runs, Morrison Browne and Foster Crawford both had figures of 1 over 1 wicket 4 runs. In reply Bryson's Bullets got off to a terrible start losing all three Charles brothers to Mervin Higgins in the opening over. In the second ball of the innings Mervin Higgins had Wilston Charles brilliantly stumped by Robin Bascus jnr. and two balls later he took a fantastic bowled and caught off Julian Charles. That brought Vaughn "Soca" Charles to the crease, with the first delivery he faced he smashed it over midwicket for six. But Higgins came back strong and with the final ball left in the over he made it his duty to remove the dangerous Charles as he was caught by Lorenzo Looby at mid-off.  Bryson’s Bullets never recovered from the poor start and as they continue to lose wickets regularly. They were eventually bundled out for 45 runs in 7.5 overs. The pick of the bowlers were Mervin “Tsunami” Higgins 1 over 3 wickets 7 runs and Osman Adams 5 balls 2 wickets 3 runs.
