Nolia Elvin and company have shown to Female Flyers that nothing beats experience. They proved that their championship run hasn’t come to an end after going two years without winning a championship. The aging Targets team pull out all the stops last night after scoring a below par score of 52 for 7 in their allotted 10 overs. Nolia Elvin who has had an MVP type tournament was restricted by some excellent bowling by Dianne Anthony, Monique Titus, and Sherma Jackson. She carried her bat throughout the innings but could only manage to score 17 runs and finished the tournament with an average of 138 runs. In the four innings she made 65*, 34*, 22 and 17*. The last time a female has had an average above 100 in the 10 overs tournament was four years ago when Daphne Morris of Old Road averaging 103. Bowling for Female Flyers Dianne Anthony had figures of 2 overs, 4 runs, 1 wicket; Monique Titus bowled 2 overs, 5 runs, 1 wicket and Sherma Jackson 1 over for 3 runs and 1 wicket.

In reply Female Flyers got off to a great start scoring 16 runs in the opening over off Esther George. At that stage they need just about 4 runs per over for the remaining 9 overs. But it was all downhill from there for Female Flyers as they started losing wickets frequently. Dorn Collette took a brilliant catch at point and at that point I guess someone must have said tonight was going to be her night. Female Flyers was restricted to 41 for 9 in 10 overs. Bowling for Targets Shawnelee Lawson had 2 overs for 4 runs and 1 wicket. Patricia Johannes bowled 2 overs, 6 runs and 2 wickets. The MVP Dorn Collette bowled 2 overs for 6 runs and bagged 5 wickets. She also took a brilliant catch at point.

In the male finals Asot’s Arcade Lion Hill defeated defending champions Finance & Development Dredgers. Dredgers won the toss and inserted Lion Hill who scored 91 for 3 in 10 overs. Alva Joseph and Wayne "Heavy Foot" Constant showed their brilliance as they scored 32 and 38 runs respectively. The pick of the bowler for Dredgers was Andrew George who had 2 overs for 13 runs and 1 wicket. In reply Finance & Development Dredgers made 79 for 5 in 10 overs. Frederick Floyd scored 36 runs following up his 70 runs not out in the semi-finals. Bowling for Lion Hill Marvin Webson had 2 overs for 6 runs and 1 wicket. The MVP of the finals Alva Joseph followed up his sensational batting with figures of 2 overs, 17 runs and 1 wicket.
